About the company

Stories with conviction.

We believe the films that stay with us begin with a human being facing a choice they can no longer avoid.

Why we exist

Finklea Productions was founded to make emotionally grounded films with the courage to entertain, challenge, and connect.

We are drawn to stories of identity, service, family, moral courage, and the private battles people carry into public life. Our point of view is shaped by lived experience and a belief that specificity—not sameness—is what allows a film to travel.

The company develops elevated thrillers, grounded dramas, historical stories, and prestige genre films. Every project must offer a compelling audience experience and something meaningful beneath it.

Our standard

Credibility. Taste. Momentum.

01

Human truth

Character comes before machinery. The spectacle matters because the person inside it matters.

02

Disciplined craft

Preparation, honesty, and accountability are part of the creative process—not separate from it.

03

Purposeful reach

We pursue culturally specific stories with the emotional clarity to connect across borders.

Founder / Producer

Don Finklea Jr.

Don Finklea Jr. is a producer, screenwriter, and actor whose work is rooted in lived experience, moral complexity, and disciplined execution.

A retired U.S. Air Force veteran after twenty years of service, including deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, Don brings a rare combination of operational leadership, cybersecurity engineering, and performance training to development and production.

His screenplays Master Chief and EMDR have each earned Stage 32 Double Recommends. He also produced and led the proof of concept Street Justice. Across his work, he is interested in the moment a person must decide who they will be—especially when every institution or instinct around them is asking them to become someone else.
